During the last couple of months at work we’ve done a lot of work with Magento including 3 site builds and I have to say that it’s a fantastic platform…
I’m not going to harp on here about all of it’s benefits & features, all this blog post is here to do is introduce a site that I built to showcase all the well designed online stores we come across which are built on Magento.
You can take a look at The Magento Showcase here. You’ll notice right away that it operates in the same way as the numerous css design galleries out there, it is however limited to only showcasing Magento based web sites.
The site is built in WordPress and makes use of the fantastic Snapshot theme from Woo Themes which allows showcased web sites to be sorted into categories, for example Fashion, Food and Drink, etc.
We plan to showcase a new Magento site each day, and stipulate that each showcased site must be visually or aesthetically inspirational.
